Zinc Oxide Powder and Eugenol B.P. Liquid meet the British
Pharmcopoeia standard.
When mixed together Zinc Oxide Powder and Eugenol B.P. have an
extended working time and the setting time is < 10 minutes in an oral
environment.
Zinc Oxide Powder and Eugenol B.P. Liquid are used for routine cavity
linings under amalgam and silicate restorations, as a temporary filling
which can be left for several weeks, pulp capping to protect pulp against
thermal change and acid irritation of overlying restorative cements and
as a temporary seal for medicament dressing.
